Kewford Claim 2nd by hitting Sutton Coldfield for Six

17 Apr 2016 by Chris Tidman

A fitting end to the league season with 6 quality goals against a hard working Sutton Coldfield gave the boys 3 points and a deserved 2nd place. Phippy opened the scoring after being put through by Cameron, before Nik chipped a beauty that sailed over the keepers head. After Kewford gave away a silly free kick, Liam had to show good hands to stop an inswinging free kick from curling into the far post. Ryan then finished off a classy move by drilling home the 3rd just before half time.
In the second half, Kyle and Chad were on top in midfield, and a run from Dallas resulted in a pull back where Chad nipped in front of Nik to finish from close range. Tyrese then ran through and slotted the ball past the on rushing keeper before a Dallas header set up Harvey for a similar finish when one on one.
Votes for Phippy, Kyle 3, Chad 3 and Cameron 4 , so MOtM goes to Cameron for work rate, bravery and clever passing.
We go into next week in good heart but we need to cut out the silly fouls and make sure that our corners are on the money
